Honestly. What’s in a family. What could have been if a father figure failed you at a very early age? Why is it that I rarely hang out or even get along with half of my dad’s side of the family?

Some of them are cool, I’ll admit – but there’s some who likes causing drama. Some who ALWAYS back-stab you. Some who always starts rumors… Some– who never change their old ways.

Sure, he’s my father.. but honestly. What father figure leaves his wife and two kids? WHAT father figure leaves the house in the middle of the night to see another lady-friend? AND.. before doing so would go into the kids’ room and kisses both kids on the forehead, knowing he’s doing wrong?

What father figure abandons family in pursuit of engaging in coitus with a more “attractive” female?

Well, you know what? That’s a shitty-ass father figure.

I’m a little intoxicated, I’m not gonna lie. Oh, alcohol, you truth-serum.

Honestly – so many heart-aches and hardships. Well what the f–… Really?!

To my family members who don’t realize the wrong-doing he has done and continue to insist that I’m the one who is wrong? SCREW. OFF. If you even know HALF the shit I’ve witnessed and been though, you’d be in the same damn boat.

Lately, I’ve been so obsessed with Netflix, it isn’t even funny. I’ve been watching this TV series called Psych – which is about a pseudo-psychic working for the Santa Barbara Police Dept solving crime after crime while being loosy-goosey and immature. It’s awesome.

The other show is called Top Gear. I’m sure most of you guys know what Top Gear is about. It’s about three guys from the UK that drive and review a lot of cheap and high-profile cars all while being entertaining, funny and factual.

I’ve been watching these two like it’s my food for life. It’s awesome..

What can I say? Netflix is my friend.

I guess I’ve really been lacking in the blogging department. I’ll try to catch you guys up on what I’ve been up to..

September 2011: I got rear ended at an intersection and totaled my 2008 Volkswagen Jetta..
September 2011: I purchased a Pontiac Grand Prix
From then til now I’be been going to chiropractic treatment at least three times a week trying to get my body back into shape. It’s a long and painful process, but alas it has to be done.

Let’s see.. what else..

Just this past weekend, I went to the NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) in Detroit, Michigan with one of my buddies who lives in Grand Rapids. It was a really fun and long-awaited vacation that I so desperately needed.

It’s like 1am right now as I’m typing this and for the first time before 2am, I’m tired as hell and I want to just go to bed.. I suppose I should go out to my car and grab my medicine before I go to bed.. That’s gonna be a fun trek down to my car.. Oh well.

Just realized that I really don’t like waiting in the customer lounge at any dealership. The first couple of times I was at Westside Volkswagen, I had no choice but to wait in the customer lounge for nearly 8 agonizing hours. Doing nothing but waiting and blogging. This time we’re looking at about 3 or so hours. All we’re doing for today is a 4-Wheel Alignment and diagnosing the sunroof controls.
For some odd reason, at completely random times, either while driving or stopped at a light, the sunroof on my Jetta would automatically open up in the vent position. The latest time, running though the car wash, I got soaked. Then got pissed.
As for the 4-wheel Alignment, my steering wheel has always been cock-eyed for as long as I can remember. The service lady, Sandy said that the alignment would be the only way that I can get rid of the cock-eyed-ness. Fine with me, as long as I don’t do some weird pre-mature wear on my pricy tires, I’m good! Plus it helps with my OCD.

For the longest time, I haven’t been able to figure out why I’ve been getting text messages from 9016 regarding me getting a voicemail, and the messages not going though to the Visual Voicemail app on my Evo. It’s because of this damned Handcent SMS application!

If you’ve set Handcent SMS as your default SMS/MMS application, it also breaks the ability to receive VVM messages.

To remedy this problem, simply…
1. Go to Handcent SMS, hit Menu, then Settings..
2. Go to Application Settings..
3. Go to Default Messaging application..
4. Select Disable..

Now that you’ve disabled Handcent as your default SMS/MMS app, you can remedy your Visual Voicemail app to receive all those voicemails from Sprint by…
1. Go to the Visual Voicemail app..
2. Hit Menu, then Compose..
3. In the “To” box, enter in your 10-digit number..
4. Hit the red “Record” button, and record a message 5 or so seconds long..
5. Hit Send..
6. Wait for your messages to get pushed to your device..
7. Enjoy!!

A Starcraft battle a day, keeps the doctor away…

Been playing Starcraft 2 : Wings of Liberty with my good friend, and basically my older brother, Dain. Gosh, darn do I miss the old days of playing game after game after game of Starcraft 1. Now with this second one, the graphics are a lot nicer, the game play is a lot more intense. This latest game, shows how much I’ve been playing..

I suppose I’ve been very critical when it comes to my vehicles and Westside Volkswagen.. And now I feel bad.

The Service Department is severely understaffed. I mean really, when you’re trying to achieve a high CSI score, you gotta have the perfect balance between running lean and the amount of work anybody does.

Just getting checked in at Westside Volkswagen for a Synthetic Oil Change and a Tire Rotation, and I’ve been waiting inside in front of the advisors for nearly 10 minutes before anybody was available to help me out, and it ended up being my past advisor, staying past his lunch time to get customers in and out. That, plus 3 other technicians trying to talk to him about vehicle status updates. And he’s the only one in the damned service drive!! I mean, seriously, Westside? You gotta get more advisors out here, especially when there’s a couple of customers waiting 10+ minutes to get checked in. Not good for CSI.

In the past I’ve been ripping on those poor advisors, and it just dawned upon me that I was being way too critical.. kinda like the “Window Lady” who work with me at Bloomington Acura. I take everything negative I’ve said back. These advisors are trying their best to get in and out, I’m pretty sure 200+ hours worth of work each day. With only like, what? 3 advisors total? As Max, the Volkswagen Type 1 “Beetle” spokesperson would say.. Das ist nicht gut.

For those who go to Westside Volkswagen for service, Jacob Puffer is a GREAT, and I mean, GREAT advisor. He is the definition of what a great advisor is. He doesn’t leave the drive when nobody’s out there. Typically is the only one that gets stuck in the drive because all the other advisors are gone doing whatever. He tries to get customers in and out as fast as possible, and I can really see the stress that he’s under, just by the tone of his voice and his facial expression. Poor guy.

It’s been a while since I’ve used my Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS camera. Went to National Camera Exchange today in Golden Valley, MN and purchased an SD Card Reader (since I’ve lost mine) and another Canon Battery Charger (also got lost) in order to take more pictures. I hope to be better at Aperture.. After all I did shell out $79.99 for the program. Here’s a snapshot of my desktop with my awesome background I took earlier today. Now you have. Breathe Carolina is an electronic-based group from Denver, Colorado. I was listening to SiriusXM on my way to work this morning on The Pulse, and this song called “Blackout” by Breathe Carolina totally caught my ear. It has a lot of energy, the lyrics actually tell a story, and it’s a super catchy tune!!

The Grand Am Owner’s Club at first seemed to be a great place to socialize for me, even more than Facebook. Up until I purchased my Volkswagen (which, by the way, I like. A lot), things were going well. I was getting along with fellow members. When I purchased my Volkswagen and made it a public announcement on the forum’s “Whore Thread,” it seemed roughly 80% of the members turned on me and started to talk smack behind my back.

Wow.

I thought they would’ve been a lot more supportive and kind-hearted to that, but I suppose I’m wrong. Wouldn’t be the first time I was, however. In the tags on the site, it reads “vw = very whiney,” and other various negative comments about the purchasing a Volkswagen.

Granted, it’s the Grand Am Owner’s Club, and here I am with a Volkswagen. Never would’ve thought it would make them turn on me. I honestly thought they were a good class of people, and my friends. Oh well. It dawned upon me that they’re more of a cult, more than a club. Friendly? Some members are. Most members aren’t.

Since then, I’ve taken the Grand Am Owner’s Club off my list of favorite sites on my personal computer at home and on my computer at work. I’ve also removed the Grand Am Owner’s Club decal on both rear door windows on my Volkswagen Jetta (Yeah, I was that proud to be part of the forum, because I thought they were a good class of people.)

And here I thought they were different. Compared to members on VWvortex, the GAOC (Grand Am Owner’s Club) is high up there on the ‘asshole’ and rude factor.

I should move on and just forget them. It’s definitely not worth my time constantly arguing back and fourth why my car sucks or why I’ve made a bad decision or how I’m stupid. I’ve got enough shit going on in my life as-is.

I’m done.
